10x Genomics Legal Department is seeking a high-performing contracts administrator who will be engaged fully, communicate openly and forge close working relationships throughout our company. We seek a confident and proactive self-starter with experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.  A strong understanding of contracts and contractual terms is essential. . We seek a collaborative partner, who can use their exceptional judgment, strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills to support our internal clients while balancing risks to protect 10x.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with legal counsel to prepare, negotiate and manage standard company commercial contracts, including negotiate bids, tenders, terms of sale, and related documents 
  • Analyze and interpret complex contractual provisions to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Negotiate with sophisticated counterparties, such as universities, research institutions, pharma, and biotechnology companies 
  • Work with internal operations teams to build scalable infrastructure for supporting rapidly growing domestic and international teams, including contract workflows and ongoing implementation of contracts management applications
  • Provide high level of customer satisfaction both internally and externally

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years’ experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements within the life sciences industry
  • Ability to provide rapid, pragmatic solutions to address legal and business risks in urgent and demanding situations
  • Self-directed and proactive, comfortable executing on multiple projects independently and in collaboration with others
  • Enthusiastic problem solver with a demonstrated willingness to identify and act to assist cross-functional colleagues to accomplish corporate goals
  • Available during business hours in Asia. Experience in Asian markets is desirable. 
  • Familiarity with contract and sales practices in US and major non-U.S. markets
  • Highly organized, excellent communication skills and detail-oriented
