About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team at 10x Genomics as the Distribution Supervisor. The individual must have experience managing a team effectively and have a great understanding of all aspects of the different roles within the warehouse. The individual will provide supervision and guidance to the shipping and receiving employees. Under the direction of the Senior Logistics Manager, the individual will manage the day-to-day activities and make necessary improvements where needed. The individual will help serve as a liaison to our 3PL for replenishment orders and fulfillment of customer orders. The individual will be expected to assist the Shipping and Receiving personnel to complete the day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily operations and ensure all PO receipts, inventory put away, deliveries, and customer orders are completed by the end of the day.
  • Measure the effectiveness of shipping and receiving activities and employee performance.
  • Work closely with cross functional groups such as Customer Service and Procurement
  • Ensure that the team achieves KPI goals for shipping and receiving activities.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained for pertinent procedures related to shipping and receiving activities and safety.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of relevant experience with a BA/BS degree or 7 years equivalent supervisory experience in the related field
  • Understanding of International shipping requirements
  • Worked with an ERP software (preferable Oracle but it’s not required)
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to investigate and resolve problems independently.
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

 

Preferred Skills/Experience: 

  • DOT certification
  • IATA certification
  • Lean Principles or Six Sigma
