We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and results-oriented individual to join our 10x team as a  Head of Equity Administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to leverage their organization skills and prior equity compensation transaction experiences to manage processes for equity compensation in supporting the fast growth of the company. Reporting to the VP, Tax & Treasury, and supported by a Sr. Stock Plan Administrator, this individual will be a trusted business partner to our Finance, HR, and Legal teams and manage the equity systems, ensure compliance with tax and legal requirements, and interact effectively with employees and management. An individual applying for this position must thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, and provide leadership to the supporting team.

What you will be doing

The Head of Equity Administration will be responsible for the following:

  • Worldwide equity plan administration, including processing equity grants, terminations, stock option exercises, RSU releases, ESPP program, and settlement of trades.
  • Manage the Sr. Stock Plan Administrator and consultant(s).
  • Ensure accurate transaction processing, record keeping and compliance, tax and payroll withholding/reporting, reconciliation of equity proceeds, and operation of related policies and controls.
  • Ensure global compliance with respective country securities, exchange control, and tax reporting requirements. Knowledge of the China SAFE securities and tax reporting will be a plus.
  • Maintain data integrity of the Equity Edge Online equity platform database and the integration between Workday and ADP with Equity Edge Online by auditing/reviewing participant information including status, location, and tax profiles. Experience with Equity Edge Online will be a plus.
  • Tracking mobile employees’ equity transactions and manage interactions with our mobility service provider to ensure accuracy of mobility sourcing calculations.
  • Ensure timely responses to equity related queries from employees using existing ServiceNow workflow.
  • Interact directly with external auditors on equity related matters including SOX controls and supporting documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for and drive continuous process improvement including automation of manual tasks and regular reporting to Payroll, Legal and Finance functions.
  • Assist with global expansion of existing equity plans into new countries.
  • Coordinate with external advisors and partners including transfer agent and brokers to administer 10b5-1 plans.
  • Enhance existing equity education training and communication materials globally and lead regular trainings for employees globally.
  • Reconcile shares related to stock plans monthly with Finance, the transfer agent, and Equity Edge Online system including plan reserve balances.
  • Coordinate with Legal to maintain the opening and closing of the insider trading windows, as well as preclearance individual listings and Section 16 officers trade restrictions in Equity Edge Online.
  • Coordinate with HR to manage data integration between Workday and Equity Edge Online.
  • Provide information to Legal as needed for reporting for the annual proxy statement.
  • Manage multiple priorities and handle projects with short deadlines with high attention to detail, and plan ahead for smooth workflow.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Stock Plan Administrator with a publicly traded company
  • Prior public company experience with equity transaction processing systems including E*TRADE - Equity Edge Online (EEO)
  • International compliance experience with global equity programs
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Communicate information in a concise and understandable way to employees and executives
  • Contribute to a positive team-based environment and build relationships
  • Demonstrate flexibility for ad-hoc requests
  • Excellent customer service orientation

Preferred Skills

  • Certified Equity Professional (CEP) preferred
