The Manager, Business Analysis & Corporate Strategy will serve as a key member of the Business Analysis and Corporate Strategy team, working with cross functional partners and the executive management team to deliver business insights to set the stage for long term growth for 10x.  This position will play an important role in shaping and refining the company strategy and will support identification, sizing, and evaluation of market segments and future market opportunities, analyzing business performance, propose and implement business improvement initiatives, as well as guide corporate strategic initiatives.  The role is based onsite at our headquarters in Pleasanton, California.

About the Role:

• Drive market & business analytics strategy and implementation  
• Design business analytics frameworks to provide insight into 10x Genomics’ positioning in the marketplace.  Use insights to address critical business questions and support strategy development and implementation in collaboration with business and functional leaders and key stakeholders across the Finance, Commercial and R&D organization. Holistically map required analyses, identify analytical approaches and required datasets to underpin analyses.  This role will play an instrumental role in standardizing and automating analyses and implementing processes to manage standardized analyses in conjunction with other functions.  
• Lead overall market assessments.  In partnership with business analysts, develop a top-down market overview of the broader genomic landscape to provide backdrop for opportunity identification, valuation and internal forecasting. This manager will be responsible for providing mentorship and coaching to the business analysts.  Partner with Marketing to drive strategic market assessments across all product lines, regions, and customer segments in a structured manner.
• Drive implementation of key internal business initiatives. Partner with key functions to drive successful execution and implementation of strategic priorities and business improvement initiatives (e.g., integrated analytic frameworks, operational efficiency). Collaborate with business and functional leaders to ensure seamless hand-off of strategic initiatives
• Support opportunity prioritization. Help lead the Business Analysis team to analyze options, create scenarios and build business cases and recommendations that support business decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; subject matter experience in biology, genetics, genomics, or a related field highly valued, MBA or other masters/advanced degree with relevant experience is preferred
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a strategic role ideally in the life sciences, genomics, or biopharmaceutical industries or strategy consulting experience from a top-tier firm.
• At least 1+ years of people management experience

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with ability to execute analysis in excel and make sound business judgments.

Strong project management and organizational skills and written and verbal communication capabilities including preparing executive-ready presentations in PowerPoint 

• Demonstrated success working cross-functionally and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
