About the role:

As the Payroll Lead in EMEA you will help drive the next stage of growth by taking over management of the payroll service for the EMEA region. Responsible for all of our EMEA countries you will be looking after the payroll process from input to reconciliation with minimal supervision. This includes coordinating inputs, reconciliation, troubleshooting and being the first line of contact for queries from the business and employees. This encompasses all 10x`s locations within EMEA, in a managed payroll operating model.

Under the direction of the Senior Global Payroll Manager and the EMEA Regional Controller, you will take full ownership of the payroll function in the EMEA. Being well organized, detail-oriented, flexible and someone who enjoys the challenges of payroll related matters in EMEA. You will need to be a fast-learner, problem solver, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can provide immediate contribution to the EMEA team.

What you will be doing:

• Liaise with internal HR partners to collect and organize payroll data before submitting to payroll providers
• Prepare data for submission to the payroll suppliers via input template ensuring solid understanding of that input
• Liaise with payroll providers on submissions and deal with any related queries
• Review and reconcile payroll data within agreed upon timeframes
• Produce gross reconciliation analysis and net payments for sign off by manager
• Provide reports on a monthly basis to the global payroll manager
• Liaise with payroll providers on submissions and deal with any related queries

• Run payroll reports and assist the Compensation Accounting team with queries regarding payroll accounting
• Good understanding of time off policies and applications in country
• Assist with Firm initiatives and projects, as needed
• Ensure that the monthly changes in payroll are correctly reflected i.e. vacation days, sick days etc.
• Full ownership and admin for the local payroll system
• Understand the effects of equity transaction within payroll
• Be part of the onboarding for new hires and eventually take ownership of the task
• Read up on rules and regulation for payroll and related to ensure full compliance
• Support the annual audit for payroll and related matters such as taxes, average numbers and more


Minimum Requirements:

• Strong Payroll experience in a similar role
• Relevant college or equivalent education
• Solid functional knowledge and understanding of EU payroll processes and regulations
• Capable of working independently, as a member of the team, and in partnership with vendors
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Well organized and detail oriented
• Must be able to take full ownership of assignments and responsibilities
• Proven track record in making improvements in processes
• A big advantage is accounting knowledge for payroll and related journals
