About the Role:

10x Genomics is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own the Single Cell Sample Prep strategy and Product Marketing which is a key component of driving customer adoption of Single Cell solutions.  This position will report to the Director of Product Management / Product Marketing.   S/he will be responsible for leading the Sample Prep downstream marketing strategy and execution across the 10X Genomics portfolio, ensuring our customers are fully-enabled on the single cell products by taking out sample preparation hurdles.  

This role will be responsible for evaluating and assessing sample preparation solution / enablement priorities and working closely with the Sample Preparation Product Manager, Market Development team and Commercial Field team.   The Product Marketing Manager investigates, selects, and drives the priority of sample prep solutions / enablement through voice of customer and voice of the field . 

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Drive interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Sales, Technical Support and Marketing) to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals to improve sample preparation for Single Cell solutions
  • Lead customer enablement and sales enablement for single cell sample preparation through marketing collaterals, tools, etc.
  • Responsible for competitive positioning and messaging to help penetration into different application areas
  • Works in collaboration with Marketing Communications to bring new sample preparation products to market, being the lead on the global go-to-market strategies
  • Ensures market information is acquired, competitive activity is monitored, and customer needs are identified
  • Works with Market Development Team on market development activities within specific research areas and customer segments to drive revenue and sales opportunities
  • Partners closely with Single Cell product management teams to gain an understanding of product-specific sample preparation challenges
  • Interfaces with marketing program team on sample preparation-related marketing campaign
  • Creates sales enablement tools, webinars, support content and other relevant content in close collaboration with product management

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

BA/BS or MS or equivalent degree in Life Sciences.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the sample prep/ NGS Life Science industry

Experience in product management or product marketing

Experience or knowledge in cell biology, cell culture, and flow sorting

 

Preferred Skills:

PhD is a plus

MBA with emphasis in marketing is preferred

Experience in research areas such as Immunology, Oncology, and Neuroscience

Must be able to build relationships at multiple levels within an organization

Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication skills

High level of organization and attention to detail

Experience leading projects with cross-functional teams
