About the role:

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join the Process Development team to develop the data analytics framework for new and existing 10x product portfolio and manufacturing areas.

This is a multi-disciplinary position that will work closely with Manufacturing, QC, Product Development, Manufacturing Systems, and IT teams. The candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining data tools to monitor and troubleshoot process health issues of our consumables manufacturing line.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop dashboards, visualizations and other data tools to monitor yield, quality and other process health KPIs
  • Work as a subject matter expert, with respect to data analytics needs, to provide detailed user requirements for implementation of MES/LIMS systems in the manufacturing area.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance for expansion of software tools to capture manufacturing data.
  • Work closely with IT, process development, QC and the manufacturing team to architect, implement, document and sustain dashboards, apps, and other data solutions
  • Lead data analysis efforts to understand parameter correlations and variability to reduce product/process failures and non-conformances
  • Create data tools to simplify and expedite resolution of manufacturing issues & customer complaints
  • Build data pipelines to collect, clean, and store unstructured data from equipment, files, and other sources
  • Lead investigations to troubleshoot manufacturing or QC issues related to process health
  • Assist in spec setting and other statistical analysis

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Computer Science or Chemistry with a knowledge of biology and chemistry and strong mathematical, statistical and analysis skills
  • 2+ years relevant biotechnology, medical device or semiconductor industry experience in product or process development
  • Experience with MES systems such as CAMSTAR, Simatic IT or Opcenter Execution Pharma
  • Extremely good statistical and data analysis skills and a logical approach to problem solving are required
  • High level programming and statistical knowledge are required
  • Experience using statistical tools, such as JMP to analyze complex data sets, create DOE experiments, and data trending.
  • Fluent in R and Python programming
  • Good interdepartmental communication skills and documentation skills are required

 

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with high volume manufacturing in a high tech, high volume consumables industry is a plus
  • Shiny app and Tableau dashboard development experience is a plus
