We are seeking a passionate and results-driven professional to join the leadership of our global Procurement Team. The candidate will take up the responsibility of leading and scaling the procurement team to support the New Product Introductions (NPI). We are looking for a forward-thinking leader who has a strong understanding in the NPI process and can lead the supply chain set-ups to ensure our speed-to-market as well as long-term manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute purchasing and sourcing activities for New Products Introductions to ensure key milestones are met and inventory built up for launch
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate and select new suppliers. Ensure cross-functional alignment on supplier selection strategy that leads to long-term supply chain sustainability, manufacturability, and quality excellence
- Lead supplier performance assessment, ensure internal/external alignments and drive continuous performance improvements
- Build supply chain sub-tier visibility. Conduct risk assessments, develop risk mitigation plans and drive secondary sourcing efforts
- Benchmark the market, monitor technology trends, and develop sourcing roadmap
- Work with R&D and Engineering to design to value.
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers and ensure achievements of competitive commercial terms
- Over the time, build up a high performing NPI procurement team; grow talents and leaderships on the team
Required Skills and Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree. A degree in science or engineering is strongly preferred
- 8+ years of strategic sourcing experience; 3+ years of experience in Life Sciences industry
- Prior experience in leading and growing teams
- Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels
- Strong business acumen and comfortable to make effective decisions in ambiguity
- Hands-on ability to perform analysis on large amount of data to drive insights and decisions; Attention to details to ensure data accuracy
- Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations independently
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines
