About the Role:

As an in-house Training and Development Scientist (remote opportunities may be available), you will deliver world class technical training on 10x Genomics products to our in-house and field-based commercial team members in laboratory, web-based and classroom settings. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting and analyzing single-cell gene expression, single-cell ATAC-seq, single-cell V(D)J, and/or spatial gene expression experiments. To be successful in this role, you must be able to master complex information quickly and accurately and thrive on then distilling and effectively communicating that information to your peers.

What you will be doing

  • Develop training content for laboratory, classroom and online delivery; Content will cover hands-on protocols and data analysis pipelines
  • Deliver live training sessions, serving as a subject matter expert for training attendees
  • Maintain internal and external training content for distribution though the 10x Genomics Support website and Learning Management System

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical expertise in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, and/or bioinformatics
  • Training or teaching experience in a scientific field
  • Outstanding training presentation delivery and design skills
  • Direct experience with cell handling, tissue handling, NGS library preparation, single cell analysis, spatial analysis, and/or NGS data analysis
  • Ability to execute high quality, flawless work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

  • PhD. or equivalent experience preferred (eg BA/BS with 5 years of experience, MS with 3 years of experience)
  • Related laboratory and/or bioinformatics work experience
  • Customer-facing support experience in life science industry (eg Technical Support or Field Applications)
  • Familiarity with video production and editing software
  • Familiarity with Bridge learning management system, or similar
  • Training certification (eg Training the Trainer, Virtual Facilitation)
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
