AKQA is looking for a Creative Recruiter to join our team. You’ll be responsible for sourcing and hiring the world’s best creative talent within AKQA. Our ideal person has sharp eye for creativity and can identify profiles across our range of expertise - from product and interface design, to conceptual art directors and copywriters.  You already have a strong network of top candidates and know how and where to find new potential talent. You take a strategic approach to a brief and can develop a sourcing strategy to attract the most interesting candidates for the role. You’ll set a high standard of personal performance and seamlessly manage multiple roles across several studio locations.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Manage the full end-to-end recruitment cycle including, but not limited to, initial hiring manager briefing, role posting, application reviews, pre-screening, interview management, collating candidate feedback, offer negotiations
  • Proactively create demand for roles at AKQA through advocacy
  • Lead outbound recruitment efforts, leveraging a variety of sourcing tools and methods
  • Collaborate with Department Leadership, Resource Management, People Team and Hiring Managers to identify talent pipelines and devise sourcing initiatives for creative roles
  • Organize and manage the interview process with candidates and hiring managers
  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience
  • Make sure all talent – whether successfully placed or not – have the best possible experience - Demonstrate AKQA’s values with every interaction
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and other members of the talent team to ensure a positive experience for AKQA employees - Regularly update all team members on the status of your hire list - Organize weekly meetings and engage hiring managers with the recruitment process
  • Be an advocate for Diversity & Inclusion within the recruiting process - Work to include D&I in sourcing strategies, candidate selection and recruitment recommendations to Hiring Managers - This includes keeping up to date with new and unconventional sources to find talent
  • Keep up to date with the industry on a global level & identify and get to know the people behind the best creative work
  • Filter inbound applications from all sources, including direct applicants and referrals
  • Develop strong active and passive pipelines of direct candidates across all creative disciplines
  • Track pipeline activity and keep our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) up to date
  • Drive efficiency by reducing recruitment costs and time to hire across the region
  • Develop robust operational processes around recruiting efforts to give stakeholders visibility into pipeline and ensure consistent high standards across all candidate efforts
  • Lead and contribute to talent projects that will improve our recruiting efforts - These can include but are not limited to D&I, recruitment tools, recruitment process, sourcing strategy, recruitment programs, internships & mentorships, employer reputation and talent vision
  • Support with freelance creative recruitment, when required

 

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum three years’ experience recruiting, preferably in the Creative/Digital industry - thorough understanding of how to review digital media, technology, and creative profiles
  • Proven background using research & sourcing methods to hire for niche areas and ‘hard to fill’ roles
  • Ability to present a curated shortlist to Creative Leaders that shows a full understanding of the brief and skillset
  • Proven ability to improve an organization's cost per hire and time to hire while maintaining the highest level of quality of candidate and hiring manger experience
  • Experience creating and implementing processes and programs from inception to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven - You have exceptional organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks
  • Maintain data reports and performance metrics on a regular basis via Greenhouse
  • Manage the existing pipeline of candidates and identify future opportunities for them
  • The ability to adopt a consultative approach with our hiring team and pride yourself in positive outcomes for your hiring team as well as the strategic direction of our talent team
  • Extensive experience working with web-based applicant tracking systems ( Greenhouse preferred)
  • Team player who cares about contributing to our employee-focused culture

 

Please note: This position can be remote and tied to any of our studios in North America - San Francisco, New York, Portland, Washington D.C., or Atlanta.
