The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for the planning, development and deployment of all media work streams and has overall responsibility for the deliverables of all workstreams.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to assist with the resourcing and scoping for a project.

  • Delivers high quality media projects on time and to budget.

  • Ability to gather requirements and break them down into the technical tasks required to complete a project phase.

  • Ability to plan delivery in iterative sprints (or according to client tiers) where needed and be the custodian of quality assurance sign-off.

  • Ability to recognise which Agile methodologies suit the needs of the client and projects, and be able to adapt and formulate Hybrid approaches.

  • Ability to recognise risk and plan to mitigate.

  • Strive to learn new skills and stay abreast of technical developments,

    successfully applying them to work practices.

  • Ability to select the most appropriate supplier for the required task.

  • Ability and techniques to improve processes per project, client workstreams and in the technology department as a whole.

  • Ability to understand the technical complexities of media deliverables, technical tools and other data led projects.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully deliver projects with large budgets, multiple resource requirements and across platforms.

  • Identify what success looks like for each project, to ensure we achieve that as a team.

  • Elicit and document accurate requirements internally at outset of project.

  • Author well-crafted Project Status Reports, ensuring they are submitted on time,

    every week.

  • Run and manage deliverables and tasking in daily scrums.

  • Assist with resource requirements across teams and assist the Delivery Director to plan proactively.

  • Tailor and communicate an appropriate project structure by methodology or project phase. Document this clearly in weekly feedback.

  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders, both verbally and in written formats.

  • Work with leads to accurately estimate and agree scope of work according to the most appropriate model (e.g. fixed-price, capped time and materials, by project phase).

  • Assist with defining and agreeing on the scope of work internally and ensure projects are delivered within this agreed scope.

  • Work with the Delivery Director to track and report financial status of a project against current estimate. Highlight potential overruns before they occur.

  • Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risks on a project, focusing on solutions.

  • Balance specific client service demands with project realities and reliably close the loop on all open issues in a timely manner.

  • Present information effectively via multiple channels: at ease presenting in team meetings or to the occasional larger group setting.
