Comprised of content producers, strategists and writers, this team of problem solvers and storytellers help clients elevate their communications and interactive experiences. Strategists harness research and insights to shape strategic direction, which writers leverage, drawing on narrative instincts to realise the power of the story. Together, they enhance each experience and inspire results for clients.

Our Senior Content Designers work closely with user experience specialists, digital designers, technical developers and creative, campaign and data strategists. They translate user and business requirements into content strategy solutions within complex project environments. The role will involve Content Planning and Structure, Content Operations and Content Strategy for our clients.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Contribute to the shape and future of AKQA’s content practice in New Zealand.
  • Develop customer-focused (and business appropriate) content strategies for our clients and their digital platforms and channels.
  • Lead, design and undertake research and elicit insights through stakeholder interviews, website data analytics, content audits, gap analyses, competitor and landscape reviews and more.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to our clients around their content strategy, content governance approach, content workflows and content design.
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline team members, to design and deliver the highest standard digital content.
  • Have a strong awareness of the role of channels in content strategy and adapt content to suit the intent, purpose and channel for each client.
  • Ensure the upmost quality of content strategies and content design across accounts and properties.
  • Understand the importance and needs of New Zealand indigenous and Pacific cultures when shaping content strategies and design.
  • Inspire and mentor team members.
  • Understand and enable best-practice Content approaches to be harnessed within AKQA and for our clients

 

QUALITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS

  • Extensive content strategy experience, preferably in an agency environment and preferably for Web content.
  • Experience delivering and guiding others to deliver the highest standard of digital content through strategic recommendations, content auditing, gap analysis and content governance.
  • Research and organisational skills that enable you to create customer-focussed and business-centric content strategies.
  • Business experience within digital communications and marketing, with a focus on content strategy.
  • Experience working with content in multi-cultural contexts and/or multiple languages (Ideally)
  • Exceptional talent for creative problem-solving.
  • Collaborative approach that enables you to forge partnerships with clients, partners and colleagues.
  • Time-management skills that allow you to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
