Atlassian is continuing to hire for all open roles with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. Everyone new to the team, along with our current staff, will temporarily work from home until it is safe to return to our offices.

We’re on the hunt for a dynamic, HR People Partner to support our diverse functional teams, Atlassians, and People Leaders. In this role, you will partner with the Global Human Resources Business Partners and Centers Of Excellence (COE) teams to deliver on our global people strategy and operational plan. You’ll support your client groups by using your ability to influence, mentor and offer expertise.

Our People Partners drive the business and constructively challenge leadership, employees and HR partners for purposes of improving outcomes or processes and coach all levels of management. As a People Partner, you will improve manager capability through 1:1 mentoring and/or focused organisational interventions. At the end of the day, we also see you measuring business impact of people practices and solutions implemented to help us build the best possible workplace we can for our amazing Atlassians.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Work closely and in partnership with People Leaders/HRBPs and COEs in the implementation and delivery of corporate policies and programs related to human resources, organizational and employee development for your business unit or division
  • Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change).
  • Handle and resolve complex ER issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Assist our People Leaders and HRBPs in the development of solutions through organizational development and cultural and process-oriented perspectives.
  • Administer talent management and leadership planning activities, alongside HRBPs within your client organization.
  • Support company diversity initiatives in partnership with HRBPs
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to People Leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • May counsel employees and people leaders concerning work-related problems and conduct termination interviews, providing feedback to Snr Leadership and HRBPs when necessary
  • Work closely with People Leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Act as employee champion and change agent
  • Measure impact of process implementation on business deliverable and customer satisfaction (training development/career planning)
  • Build young leader’s capabilities and skills
  • On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience
  • Extensive experience working within a complex matrixed organization on the entire employee lifecycle
  • Ability to form relationships with co-workers and manage senior stakeholders at all levels of the organization across the globe
  • Foundational knowledge of HR policies, compliance requirements, and risk implications for HR such as employee relations, performance management, discrimination and harassment, recruiting and hiring, compensation and benefits, leave management
  • Coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to use quantitative skills and knowledge of similar client groups, and external marketplace to evaluate the impact of our activities on Org performance
  • In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of your client group, to help reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
