Job description

Atlassian Jira Align is a product that delivers mission-critical visibility for Enterprise customers using Agile practices at scale! The Jira Align teams handle product, support, services and sales for some of world’s most admired companies. Across all these focus areas (or teams), there is a common need for orchestrating insights and planning to manage the health of delivery capabilities. This includes establishing and maintaining business planning cadence, quarterly measurement of business value, and communications to align company plans and measurements back to individual team utilization, hiring, and output metrics.

As the Program Manager for Jira Align, you will be responsible for working across Jira Align leadership to add operational rigor and ensure that the teams are able to optimize their service delivery capabilities and resource management load for optimal outcomes.

More about you

Are you passionate about creating simple systems of communications and reporting to ensure alignment within the business? This may be the role for you!

You've had experience building forecast, and capacity models for product teams. You aren't afraid to roll-up your sleeves and get into the process flow and technical implementation details of related system changes.
We’d love if you have worked with a distributed organization, across multiple product delivery teams including technical and non-technical disciplines. Ideally, you've had experience overseeing quarterly roadmap and forecasting cycles in collaboration with business teams such as Finance and HR. In addition, you demonstrate a strong ability to distill the measurement out of all the details, and create a simple consumable representation to key business partners. You also have experience partnering with product strategy, delivery, support and business teams on defining requirements for success.

People describe you as strong team builder, someone who can set the right direction and expectations with a high performing team, be an adept communicator across time-zones and cultures, and have the right balance of identifying new ways of building business and solving risks to current execution and scale. Emotional intelligence is a key trait, as you will be working with decision makers across teams and regions, to encourage alignment on time-bound decisions. You are adept at guiding teams through a framework to analyze their problems and reach actionable outcomes faster.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a process with each Team Lead, for mapping resource utilization and forecasts to growing demand from the business
  • Manage the week-to-week planning rigor to help teams keep their eye on the quarterly OKR goals, driving the cadence of check-in, remediation and update cadence for Jira Align
  • Develop capacity & productivity reporting requirements for Jira Align that are unique to product delivery team needs
  • Create and manage team and product health heat-map process, so we are consistently tracking the quality of product delivery with the context of a balanced team
  • Partner with Team Leads to create consistency in regional team-management approaches for check-ins, team meetings, and knowledge sharing with internal and external presenters
  • Ensure teams are driving a regular cadence of preparation for events such as Atlassian Summit, Quarterly Roadmaps, Atlassian Regional Team Tours and other related events
  • Create rigor of budget & cost management across the teams, and define reports with FP&A to ensure consistent measurement of the teams P&L
  • On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • 3-5+ years of program management experience
  • Experience with Agile delivery frameworks
  • Experience with SAFe or other frameworks that deal specifically with Agile at scale

  • It'd be great to have:

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS software sales or delivery
  • Experience across the SDLC
  • Hands on experience with Atlassian products
