Atlassian is continuing to hire for all open roles with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. Everyone new to the team, along with our current staff, will temporarily work from home until it is safe to return to our offices.

Job Description

At Atlassian, we are on a mission to reinvent B2B selling. We know that classic high-pressure B2B sales tactics don't work anymore. We have built a billion dollar, fast-growing business without any of those tactics, based on high-quality products, free trials and an intense focus on customer satisfaction. Those happy Customers convert to paying Customers, creating a prolific "Flywheel" that has delivered 150,000+ customers to date. We believe that there is an opportunity to more pro-actively engage with our customers through targeted, value-added outbound engagements that will lead to higher conversions and incremental bookings throughout the Customer lifecycle.

As Atlassian continues to scale with new product offerings, our go-to-market motion has become more complex, requiring an ever-evolving approach to manage effectively. This sales operations analyst role will play a key role in driving operational rigor and setting the strategic vision for these new initiatives. That will include a diverse range of projects including supporting Jira Align, Atlassian’s newest acquisition, our field services organization, and many more to come (we are still growing very quickly and will adding new products and companies to the fold in the future!).

The Sales Business Process Analyst will possess business process, systems, and analytical skills that will be instrumental in helping the Field Operations team scale globally aligned processes. As the organization unifies around specific frameworks and platforms, you’ll help implement new processes and tools that support the global needs of our organization.

Here's an idea of the kinds of things you'll get to do:

  • Identify and research end to end current state processes, pain points, inefficiencies, and the best opportunities to drive improvement through automation
  • Facilitate workshops, uncover business requirements and process documentation
  • Drive process and technology improvements for the Atlassian Direct Sales Organization
  • Manage defects and enhancements including identification, resolution, and communication to business partners in the Sales organization
  • Conduct preliminary investigation for all project requests to ensure they are in line with business objectives
  • Work with business owners and IT to prioritize and implement change requests
  • Participate in user acceptance, smoke testing, and implementation activities
  • Manage escalations and exceptions utilizing a ticketing system
  • Build reports and dashboards in Salesforce to support business objectives
  • Perform key administrative tasks as appropriate to address business challenges
  • Ensure and maintain data integrity through reinforcement of sales and success processes, data improvement projects, and ongoing data clean up
  • Stay up to speed on emerging Salesforce capabilities and industry best practices for the platform
  • On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in Sales Operations, Sales Technology, or Customer Support
  • The ability to recommend new ways Atlassian can better use Salesforce
  • Strong business acumen that will help you identify, articulate, and solve business problems
  • An in-depth understanding of what it takes to get IT projects delivered
  • A strong sense of ownership, self-motivation, and ambition
  • More about our team

The Sales Operations team is staffed with committed and smart people helping our sales organizations understand current performance, forecast the future, and improve process. Within Sales Operations, the Analytics team is responsible for building reporting for the global and regional sales leadership. The Deal Desk helps ensure that we process our biggest contracts in the most efficient manner possible. You’ll work on a Systems and Processes Team that designs the methods needed to scale our customer interactions.
