Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. Everyone new to the team, along with our current staff, will temporarily work from home until it is safe to return to our offices.

We're making a substantial investment in content design, seeking to use effective content-driven experiences to help customers realize value with Atlassian products and solutions. With the expansion of our Customer Experience Organization, we’re after a hardworking and passionate Senior Content Design Manager, to lead our growing Content Design team.

This position is for someone who thinks bigger than traditional software documentation. You enable teams to communicate value in a compelling, clear and effective way across the entire user journey. As a leader, you love solving hard problems in a collaborative environment and you thrive on pushing the bounds of product development with engineering, design, and product management partners. 

In this role, you'll be encouraged to:

  • Be a strategic partner who works closely with our Head of Content & Service Design, to deliver and scale effective product content enabling customers to learn, use, and master our Jira product family and beyond
  • Creatively innovate. With a pulse on the constantly changing strategy and trends in content-driven design, you'll guide your team anticipate and adjust to new challenges and ensure constant innovation within your team
  • Lead and own a high-performing team of Content Designers and Managers
  • Mentor and encourage your team to deliver long-lasting outcomes for customers
  • Work directly with leadership across product development, marketing, and support, helping to build and curate the overarching vision for content that guides customers through their entire product journey
  • You'll ideally have:

  • 10+ years in technical writing, content strategy and product UX writing
  • 5+ years in leading and managing a high-performing content team
  • Proven experience growing a second layer of management, helping them gain influence, impact, and critical thinking to make the overall customer experience outstanding, at scale, and through effective content

Content Design includes everything needed to understand, support, market, and use that product. You won't own all the content, but you'll help make sure the stories we tell are consistent and build a magical experience for our customers.
