Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. Atlassian is seeking an experienced, passionate, and results-oriented program manager to help drive the success of our Commerce transformation initiative. This role will be part of the Strategic Programs team within IT and will contribute to boosting the effectiveness of program teams by championing tried and tested delivery patterns/plays and operationalizing underlying processes that make program teams execute with efficiency. This is the perfect role for a program leader with general management and operational experience in transformation programs and who has a keen interest in shaping winning teams! You are a person who is comfortable working with leadership, program managers, product managers, system analysts, and engineers across different teams within a quick-paced, fast-growing company to deliver awesome solutions and services. You'll bring order and focus while leaving room for flexibility and innovation, as well as bringing infectious vitality to those around you. Lastly, in this role you will serve as a mentor, multiplier, influencer, negotiator and awesome communicator rolled into one.

Other Key Responsibilities:

People
Drive leadership updates, executive communication package, and facilitate cross-functional updates for strategic programs
Coach and mentor on Atlassian program standard methodologies for developing and supporting robust program teams
Partner with Finance, Talent and program teams, to help manage headcount and forecasting across projects

Operations
Work with the ‘Head of IT, Strategic Programs’ to tackle operational challenges to support scaling the strategic program's organization
Maintain a regular review cadence for programs/projects
Establish Steering committee and leadership update cadence for large programs
Project & Process Management
Evangelize Project and Program management standard methodologies throughout the company
Coordinate and supervise team projects and quarterly goals
Promote, define, refine and implement lightweight processes that fit our delivery model
Lead as a point of contact for geographically distributed teams
Coach/Mentor Dev Managers and Team Leads on relevant project management practices
Lead and contribute towards Atlassian Bootcamp, Onboarding and Knowledge Acceleration

Measurement & Status
Communicate status and date changes to the company
Support building the program and value metrics/measurement package for key performance indicators
Maintain and continuously improve metrics on the IT dashboard

More about you
You are passionate about working with a cross-functional, geographically distributed team to build and deliver mission-critical commerce capabilities
You have delivered Programs working with Agile Engineering Teams in the past
You love being part of a sophisticated program with multiple workstreams and dependencies
You have strong release management and QA management experience
You have experience in leading organizational change management, training and program communication efforts
You excel in mitigating program delivery risks and strive to share accurate and timely program status to everyone
You're dedicated, organized and able to work in a fast-paced, team environment providing consistent, high-quality output
Your written, verbal and listening communication skills are second to none
You stimulate and relish change, adapt quickly and see change as an opportunity while embracing diversity and new ideas
Proven experience with Team collaboration tools and prior experience using JIRA and Confluence is a definite plus
You have the ability to quickly develop credibility at all levels of the organization, recognize the intelligence around you and inspire others to do their best work
You think strategically, recognizing the importance of long term goals, have a vision, and are committed to success.

Experience
Proven experience running business transformation programs/projects, working with software development and/or IT teams
5+ years working directly with CXO level management and/or leading senior-level steering committees
Broad knowledge of software industry and technology trends
Coordinating sizeable, distributed teams across multiple projects simultaneously is the reason you get up in the morning.
Experience with modern software development methodologies: Agile, Scrum, XP, etc.
