Atlassian is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager who is passionate in establishing strategic relationships that can maximize the value between Atlassian and our providers while delivering best-in-class procurement services. Are you interested in contributing significantly to the overall success of the company, helping build out a globally scalable procurement group by becoming our first team member in Bengaluru India, establishing sourcing strategies, and leading change? This will include strategic elements like defining sourcing strategy, spend analysis, strategic partnerships, vendor identification and development as well as tactical elements like contract administration contracts negotiation and finalization and working with the Operations team and internal partners such as IT, Engineering, Workplace, Finance, Legal and People Ops

In This Role, You'll Get To….

  • Be a trusted procurement advisor for India geo support for Atlassian stakeholder.
  • Subject matter experts in India business acronyms, culture, governance, restriction, and regulation ensuring that procurement processes are made in accordance with all applicable codes and ordinances
  • Has a good network of suppliers across all these categories in relationships in US and India
  • Mentor other team members and business partners on procurement methodologies
  • Identify, obtain agreement, and lead transformational strategic sourcing initiatives, following a standard strategic sourcing methodology that maximizes Atlassian's value
  • Personally lead key initiatives, serving as the primary liaison between Legal, Finance, IT, department business units, program managers, compliance counsels and other key business partners in the end-to-end strategic sourcing process including category analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation
  • Establish positive relationships across the business units to ensure active and early participation in supplier related matters
  • Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and industry dynamics to identify, prioritize, and launch sourcing initiatives
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity
  • Contribute to implementation, planning, and change management of process improvement initiatives across Atlassian
  • Actively mentor business partners on procurement practices
  • Lead the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs
  • Who You Are And The Skills And Experiences Needed

  • Supports Cross functional teams in India to exerts influence internally and externally in negotiations to maximize the value of deals. Supports broader sourcing team in development of negotiation plans for global services
  • A consultative mindset to support a broader organization. As the Procurement lead, you will guide business process improvement initiatives within our organization in collaboration with other procurement and business partner leaders.
  • Demonstrated successes leading operational improvements and change management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement policies, processes, and tools.
  • Expertise and experience across the full lifecycle of procurement activities including sourcing strategies, RFP development & analysis, supplier selection, contract negotiations, contract preparation, and review and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present business and technical issues, ideas, and recommendations clearly in verbal, written and presentation formats
  • A proven ability to work independently with strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A real passion for project management, with cross-functional team leadership skills, an ability to monitor multiple project schedules simultaneously, identify risks, and clearly communicate goals to project partners.
  • Outstanding relationship building skills, with a clear ability to inspire change, manage conflict, bring together disparate points of view, and make decisions that deliver on objectives
  • A Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of meaningful work experience, with increasing responsibilities within procurement
  • Attention to detail, balanced with an ability to prioritize issues and propose solutions to new / complex situations with multiple partners.
  • Experience with procurement tools is required, experience with Coupa is a plus.
