At Atlassian, the Strategy & Business Operations team is a high-impact and visible team that works closely with product & business leaders across the company. Using your business insight, analytical skills, and creativity, you will partner directly with product leaders across our Cloud business and in our Growth team, and take a leading role in driving strategy, growth, and business operations. You’ll own projects from inception to execution and delivery, ensuring that the solutions you develop are creative and offer high-quality and actionable recommendations to business partners. You'll also quarterback aspects of the month-to-month business operations, increasing visibility and accountability around business metrics that drive growth.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Partner directly with Atlassian’s Growth team to achieve its business objective of accelerating the Cloud funnel growth levers (e.g. cross-sell, activation, virality) of Atlassian’s cloud products, through driving recommendations
  • Work with the Head of the Growth team to define and direct near- & long-term initiatives for the Growth team
  • Identify and quantify long-term opportunities to inform product roadmap decisions
  • Monitor, measure, and assess how Growth initiatives and investments are moving the numbers and delivering results for the company
  • Build detailed financial models to develop insights and drive recommendations & partner with FP&A to ensure alignment
  • Collaborate daily with a cross-functional team which includes product, customer insights & analytics, finance and other teams
  • Drive the business cadence for Growth, including biweekly, monthly, quarterly and annual business updates to increase visibility and accountability around key metrics
  • On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • 5-7+ years experience with experience in two or more areas of: business operations, strategic finance, management consulting, investment banking, product, go-to-market / sales strategy, growth experimentation or similar
  • An understanding of Enterprise Software and SaaS/subscription business models
  • Experience presenting and debating recommendations at the executive level
  • Demonstrated experience in driving business case development / strategic recommendations from end-to-end
  • Strong financial modeling chops and ability to understand revenue and cost drivers
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and experience using SQL
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills with all levels of an organization
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Math, Engineering or a related analytical field
  • It's great, but not required if you have:

  • An MBA
  • Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)
