Who You Are
Brightwheel is seeking  a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join the Finance & Strategy team. You are passionate, highly motivated and will partner with executive stakeholders to drive the company’s topline execution and growth strategy. You are inquisitive and proactive in digging deep into the data to understand the key drivers of our business. You possess strong analytical and communication skills to uncover insights, deliver actionable takeaways and influence data-driven business decisions across the organization. 

What You’ll Do

  • Be a trusted finance business partner to executive stakeholders across key functions (GTM, Customer Success, and Product) by delivering actionable financial insights and analyses to track business performance, expenditure and investment controls, and identify risks and opportunities in our financial outlook
  • Own and develop our corporate strategy and targets by driving our company-wide financial budgeting and strategic processes (quarterly and annual) with key executives to arrive at recommended investment capacity and prioritization
  • Build and maintain detailed and dynamic financial and operating models powered by inputs from stakeholders across the company to inform quarterly forecasts and strategic investment prioritization
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on key company metrics definitions and work with the analytics team to ensure accuracy, consistency and data integrity for key financial and operating metrics 
  • Prepare analysis and materials to present to board members and executive leaders, including corporate cash burn management, variance to plan analysis, management reporting and reforecasts for board meetings, investors, and other key stakeholders; assist in ad hoc projects including but not limited to investor relations and fundraising
  • Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in investment banking, corporate strategic finance, private equity or other relevant analytical and technical roles (start-up experience a plus)
  • Expert in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, proficient in our most relevant tools (Excel, Google Sheets). SQL abilities and experience with data visualization tools a plus!
  • Structured thinker with the ability to frame and reason through sophisticated business problems, even in the face of ambiguity or imperfect information
  • Self-starter who is proactive, intellectually curious, and not afraid to seek out projects independently
  • Team player with the ability to partner cross-functionally in growing organization
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a collaborative mindset and approach to work
  • Brightwheel offers a competitive compensation package (base salary, equity and benefits) with a strong emphasis on equity-based compensation (ownership in brightwheel). For cash compensation, brightwheel sets standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In alignment with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual cash compensation for this role in Colorado is targeted at $98,000 - $122,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
