Who You Are
Brightwheel is seeking an IT Coordinator to join the People Operations team and manage our employee equipment lifecycle for our rapidly-growing, distributed workforce. You are a people-centric, service-minded individual who can partner with employees (in-person and virtually) to solve their time-sensitive equipment needs. You will help manage the employee equipment lifecycle when it comes to onboarding and offboarding. This will include owning the logistics of shipping and receiving employee equipment, as well as organizing and managing inventory in our Austin office. You’ll also be responsible for account creation, deactivation, and group management through our MDM. The right candidate derives satisfaction from ensuring their co-workers are properly supported and operating smoothly.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage employee equipment life cycle: You will be responsible for ensuring that new hires receive their equipment in a timely manner and are set up for success on their first day.
  • Manage standing inventory: You will be responsible for keeping track of all brightwheel-owned equipment as well as wiping/reimaging used machines.
  • Provide help desk support: You will assist in answering basic support requests from our user base (450+ employees).
  • Leverage MDM: You will assist in keeping devices up-to-date on relevant patches as well as utilizing best practices to maintain security of our device fleet.

  • Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities

  • 1-2 years of experience in a help desk support environment OR 1-2 years experience in managing inventory and logistics 
  • Experience with both macOS and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to reimage devices and conduct basic troubleshooting of common user issues
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace products (gmail, google docs, google sheets, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Slack, Zoom, and other productivity tools that power a remote workforce
  • A service mindset and strong sense of taking ownership
  • Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to rigorously adhere to a process 
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to make frequent trips to and from our Austin office at The Domain, in order to receive and process employee equipment
  • Brightwheel offers a competitive compensation package (base salary, equity and benefits) with a strong emphasis on equity-based compensation (ownership in brightwheel). For cash compensation, brightwheel sets standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. The annual cash compensation for this role is targeted at $54-63k. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
