About the team

We are looking for a passionate Operations Manager - Ride hailing to take the lead in driving our critical Performance and marketplace strategy in Egypt’s market . You will be working closely with the Head of Ops to grow high impact results in the market. It’s a critical role within the supply team in Careem and includes several dimensions.

As an Operations Manager - Ride Hailing , you will be taking full ownership of building supply value proposition and maintaining marketplace health.

What you'll do

  • You’ll lead the captain performance and marketplace team towards the preset central goals.
  • You’ll drive the team to analyze the marketplace data and take the correct moves that serve the business in the best way possible.
  • Your main KPIs/responsibilities will be service reliability, captains retention, engagement initiatives and budget spend
  • You’ll be the mission critical leader within the ops team, working closely with the head of Egypt ops, central marketplace ops and the rest of the supply team to leverage deep analytical insights to deliver high impact results.

What you'll need

  • You'll need 9~10 years of experience (Relevant 5 years in a similar role).
  • Passion for Analytics: Great analytical thinker with deep data analysis to help design solutions and optimize fleet utilisation.
  • Hunger to get things done: Super strong project management skills, with a focus on proactively finding practical solutions to problems and demonstrated high levels of bias for action.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Careemers work incredibly hard and we love doing it. We believe in open culture and information sharing to drive visibility.
  • People Skills: need to be able to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of people (direct & indirect). Selling ideas is what will make you successful.
  • Drive standardization: believe in standardizing work content, processes and policies to ensure seamless operations and drive output predictability.

Where you'll be

Even though we are working remotely, we are strong believers in collaboration and the power of building social connections with our teams. For that reason, our offices are still open and provide plenty of collaboration-friendly spaces at times when teams need it or if you need a quiet space to work outside of home. 

You’ll be working in the location you’re hired from. Due to legal and compensation considerations, you will need to be based out of the country you’re hired from as your primary work location.
