We’re looking for a Marketing Intern with a passion for marketing and has an open, inquisitive mind towards new, creative ideas to connect with our target audiences. 

You will be responsible for supporting the marketing targets for the growth squad, which does not just take care of our active users and deepen engagement with them, but also works on creative ways to reach out to users who may have dropped off regular use of the platform and with the product team to innovate on caring user experiences. As we are trying out a relatively different way of marketing, the scope will be relatively flexible, allowing for the intern to be able to try out opportunities in many different areas. This is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate looking to try out a range of experiences within both marketing and business development. The scope will include two specific categories which are seeing much engagement and organic growth - Services and Fashion, and cover all 6 markets: Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines and Indonesia.

This role will report to the Head of Regional Marketing. 

This is a full time 3-6 months internship (Please state your availability in your application).

 

You Will:

  • Create content and curate them for all marketing channels where relevant
  • Drive campaigns and activations to deepen engagement with our users and reach out to lapsed users
  • Work with the design team to produce design assets for content, campaigns and activations
  • Discover and curate the best Carousellers to feature in-app and on our channels
  • Actively track the results of each effort and applying past learnings to future planning
  • Assist in all other ad-hoc tasks required by the Company

You Have:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in business administration, marketing or related field​
  • Solid knowledge of user engagement, marketing and sales principles
  • Understanding of the local context and good grasp of sociocultural trends
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Responsible, driven and a team player
  • Proactive in following up with campaign mechanics and user feedback
  • Proactive in driving and executing marketing campaigns
  • Bonus if you are a Carousell user
  • Bonus if you have experience working in a startup environment before
