The Role 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven HR business partner to align our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs. Duties for the People Business Partner will include aligning employees to business objectives, enhancing employee performance, supporting employee development, planning strategic HR initiatives, running orientation and onboarding processes, maintaining employee relations, updating policies and practices, and providing payroll and benefits support. Your experience in human resources will aid our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving personnel grievances, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

 

Responsibilities

As a People Business Partner at Cayuse, you will deliver a full spectrum of both strategic and tactical HR support and programs to the organization from reporting and analytics, educating managers on people practices, labor and employee relations, performance management, providing payroll and benefits support, career development to advising on various employment issues.

  • Partner with all levels of employees to implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of a business.
  • Works closely with management and team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.  Partners with team members globally to ensure a vibrant and effective workplace.
  • Executes on company-wide People Programs including performance reviews, engagement exercises, onboarding/offboarding, etc. 
  • Produce regular and measurable people analytics metrics to all levels of the business in an effort to develop solutions, programs and opportunities for learning. 
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
  • Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Support departments with change management initiatives

 

Essential Functions

  • Partner with IT and Finance to ensure teams and departments can engage, connect and collaborate more efficiently. 
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding tasks.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic form.
  • Assist with process semi-monthly US payroll and monthly Canada payroll

 

Qualifications

  •  4+ years experience as an HR Generalist + degree in related field
  • Highly collaborative style
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures, labor laws
  • Hyper-organized, taskmaster
  • Aptitude in problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Experience working in a global software organization ideally in a startup environment/small company
  • Foundational understanding of HR analytics and experience with HR systems & tools is essential; must have experience with Google Workspace and HRIS systems.
  • Desire to work as a team within the framework of Cayuse’s Values: Integrity, Innovation and Inclusion
  • Phenomenal people skills
  • **SHRM-CP or PHR certification will be a plus
