This leader will create inspiring brands and best in class marketing products that will build Chewy’s consideration and appeal in customers hearts and minds every day to WOW customers on a regular basis. What You'll Do:

  • Responsible for brand and creative strategy, along with its direction, to ensure the brand tenets are serving the overall company vision as well as adjusting as necessary to changing conditions
  • Build and lead a high-standard, world-class organization comprising of leaders of Brand and Creative, Integrated Marketing, Marketing Products and all Performance Marketing channels. This will include marketing analytics and insights, who execute on core marketing priorities as well as act as high-judgement partners to the business
  • Own and deliver all creative assets, run-the business campaigns, flagship campaigns, and do them all with a high caliber team and a closed look measurement framework
  • Build and lead a world-class performance marketing team who are deeply analytical in approach, tools and techniques; and knows how to acquire new customers to Chewy while constantly optimizing spend
  • Build high integrity, scalable Go-To-Market process and interlocks within marketing and with business units to efficiently intake inputs and overlay them with marketing priorities to deliver high quality outputs which enhance customer experience and simultaneously maximize company revenue and profitability
  • Work backwards from customer need and research to identify and define insights, strategy, and then design and launch flagship campaigns and go-to-market approach that drive traffic to Chewy and build Chewy’s brand externally (and internally)
  • Work closely with the PR/Communication leader for Chewy to build a world class communications function that engages with a broader range of stakeholders including investors, team members, media, policymakers, and the business community, among others
  • Represent the customer internally by communicating, learning through research and analysis, sharing insights with internal partners such as marketing and category leaders, and constantly ensuring that customer needs are met
  • Setup/lead a best-in-class product marketing mentality and culture
  • Employ mathematical and scientific frameworks for measuring marketing spend and design scalable, transparent mechanisms which maximize spend ROI
  • Ensure there is continuous improvement in the marketing product tool chest as well as the product’s compliance to market needs wrapped in a product experience that continuously and consistently delights customers
  • Establish methodologies and procedures for conducting research, design conceptualization, prototyping, and new marketing channel development across the entire marketing and product management department

 What you'll Need:

    • Be a Brand Marketer, Performance Marketer, Analytical Guru and Customer Experience builder, all at the same time
    • Ability to think strategically and to build and deliver hands-on (without heavy agency reliance)
    • Exceptional analytical horsepower and an ability to dive deep to understand inputs, outputs and all associations
    • Hands on experience with SEO, SEM and tools like Google Analytics, Google Adwords, HubSpot, WebTrends, as well as marketing tech stack knowledge is a must
    • Ability to work independently, a high degree of professional and personal integrity, ability to work effectively with others, attention to details, ability to prioritize and conceptualize, exceptional problem solving and organizational skills, and an insatiable drive to make things better
    • Ability to create a sustainable and dynamic work environment that attracts and retains the best talent in the department
    • Education: Advanced degree (‘s) in Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, Product Management, Marketing, Advertising, Psychology, Engineering or any other related field. An equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable
    • Experience: Must have vast experience of over 15 years in marketing management, business, product marketing, customer experience type positions in a complex and growth-oriented business setting
    • Communication: Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills; clear, concise, unambiguous and structured
    • Outstanding Leadership Skills: Must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills; a rich blend of analytical, creative, and strategic talents in order to win the confidence of his/her staff and peers. A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, motivate, and inspire cross-functional teams with professionalism and clarity
    • All of the above is essential to earning trust of direct reports, peers, stakeholders and customers
