Our Opportunity:

A Food Safety Housekeeping Specialist performs various manual labor tasks including, but not limited to picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and keeping the isles and bin locations free of debris, breaking down boxes, utilizing powered industrial vehicles to move pallets and debris from isles, bin locations and walkways. 

The Food Safety Housekeeping Specialist is responsible to maintain personal safety while performing these tasks. All openings are considered full time. You must be hardworking, able to work alone, have reliable transportation, and be able to pass background check/drug screening. 

Chewy offers: Medical benefits and pay starting at $12.50/hour with opportunity for increases at 3, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months. 

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain all safety standards as required by Chewy.
  • Be available to work overtime as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain housekeeping that keeps the building in compliance with the new Food Safety Program and the needs of entire facility.
  • Use cleaning supplies properly.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to lift to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
  • Must be willing to be certified on the following PIT equipment: Order Picker, Reach, Movexx, Double Walkie and a Pallet jack.
  • Continuous walking, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with supervisors and Team Members.
  • Must be able to follow a cleaning schedule and provide feedback to your manager of any issues you may encounter.
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday and on holidays.
