Our Opportunity:

Located in Dania Beach, FL the Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for helping to ensure the Company’s ongoing compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.This individual is responsible for analyzing, researching and resolving issues and addressing related tax inquiries. This individual will specialize in payroll regulatory compliance across all states in which employees reside. He/she will participate in special projects when required.

What You'll Do:

  • Entry and maintenance of employee tax data in ADP Workforce Now
  • Register company in new tax jurisdictions for state/local/unemployment. Identify registration requirements for state and local tax agency account numbers and coordinate as needed
  • Set up new tax jurisdiction in ADP and ensure new and existing employees have the correct tax setup
  • Prepare and submit Federal and State Power of Attorney (POA) as needed
  • Review and submit data for tax amendment filings to ADP as needed
  • Review and correct tax errors identified in the periodic and quarterly data transmission and filing to ADP
  • Quarter reconciliations for 941’s and annual reconciliations of four quarters and W-3’s
  • Research year end related requests and process corrections to wages/W2s
  • Research and respond to payroll tax inquiries from employees, agencies, and other internal/external parties
  • Review Fidelity tax template and perform federal/state tax deposits related to restricted stock payments
  • Prepare Repayment of Wages as applicable for each employee. Calculate net amount due for active employees with prior year overpayment and current year overpayment for termed employees
  • Identify, research, test, implement, and develop training materials on payroll tax procedures, and employment tax processes; maintain internal policies and procedures in accordance with the law
  • Support the Sr. Payroll Manager with other projects and tasks as required
  • Subject matter expert on all payroll tax related issues

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Hands on and strong knowledge/experience with ADP Workforce Now, KRONOS and Workday
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll related matters required.
  • FPC or CPP certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in tax required
  • Minimum 3 years related experience in payroll processes required
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word)
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Payroll software implementation experience preferred
  • Experience with Workday HR/payroll integration and mass data change uploads (EIB) preferred
  • Position may require travel
