Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator to join our PR & Communications team based at our headquarters in Dania Beach, FL. This position will primarily provide vital support for our regional PR & Communications team. The ideal candidate will be organized, have a high level of attention to detail, and an ability to adapt and prioritize in fast-paced conditions.
What You’ll Do:
- Support PR team with day-to-day media relations functions, to include monitoring and tracking media coverage, maintaining media lists, creating editorial calendars, coordinating community activations, and other tasks as needed
- Help draft ongoing internal and external communications
- Join the regional PR & Communications team for regular touchbases with Chewy’s regional teams via digital or in-person meetings as needed
- Provide administrative support
- Assist with press material development and PR planning
- Work closely with the Regional PR & Communications team to coordinate tactics for Chewy’s different fulfillment centers, customer service centers, and headquarters across the country
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant public relations experience in a large company or agency setting is required
- Familiarization with media relations including building media list, coverage tracking, and evaluating metrics assocated with press coverage.
- Excellent writing, editing, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills with keen eye for detail and sense of urgency
- Proactive and independently motivated
- Some travel may be required
