Our Opportunity:

The Senior Benefits Manager, based in Dania Beach, Florida is responsible for the design, policy-side management and compliance of multiple benefit plans for all employees across the organization and is specifically focused on Leave Policy, Wellness, Voluntary Benefits and overall Policy Management. This role will partner with the Associate Director or Benefits and the Senior Compensation Manager for health, welfare and retirement to design, manager and own leave of absence, paid time off, FMLA, disability programs, relocation/mobility, remote work, wellness plan development, EAP, voluntary benefits and overall Benefits Program Compliance Management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and develop best in class benefits strategies to attract and retain an innovative, high caliber workforce nationwide
  • Manage current benefits and recommend modifications by analyzing options and estimating future costs, maximizing cost effectiveness of programs
  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive policy management strategy which develops, manages and communicates benefit program policies to the organization
  • Collaborate with HR department to monitor enforcement of standards and policies
  • Manage policy-side of development of LOA, FMLA, PTO, disability programs, EAP, relocation/mobility, remote work, current and future company COVID-19 policies and other current and future benefit policies, as the need arises and partner with HR Operations on administration
  • Lead policy-side of project to centralize LOA/FMLA processes with Third Party Administrator
  • Manage and recommend enhancements/additions to company voluntary programs, including executive programs, tuition programs, work/life balance programs, and other voluntary benefits viewed to be essential offerings within a best in class benefits package
  • Design and manage new company Wellness Program, focusing on quantifiable programs which help minimize company medical costs while enhancing overall wellbeing of company team members. Program Focus: Physical, Mental and Financial health of Team Members
  • Work collaboratively within the Benefits Team and other internal departments to execute annual Open Enrollment processes
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with external benefit providers
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Achieve financial objectives of departmental budgets by analyzing variances, future costs and initiating modifications to benefit policies as required
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtain qualified opinions; enforce adherence to policy requirements; advise management on needed actions
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven ability to function as a subject matter expert, developing and implementing new and enhanced benefits and policies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Detail oriented; demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent fluency with data and analysis
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Leadership experience in a Benefits Design role with strong vendor management experience
  • Benefits Management experience, inclusive of policy development, communications materials development & presentations to the organization
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Wellness Program development/management and LOA/FMLA, PTO program policy design & management for a large organization with a diverse group of 10K+ team members
  • Experience with Workday a plus
  • Certification through SHRM or World at Work a plus
  • Position may require travel
