The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to gather requirements, and develop functional and technical specification documents within in a team environment. The position requires the ability to conceptualize efficient implementation models, as well as having direct involvement with development resources.


This individual must be highly motivated, team focused, organized and detail oriented and must possess solid analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. The Sr. EDI Analyst will be required to have advanced understanding of emerging technologies and systems development best practices.

What you'll do:

  • Execute daily operational activities related to EDI and other interface platforms including mapping, operational monitoring and error handling.
  • Identify and Expand EDI opportunities in collaborating with Business and Functional IT team.
  • Coordinate requests both internally and externally. Works directly with business partners to obtain requirements, perform detailed analysis, communicate requirements to internal functional team for development and is the focal point for communicating status/implementation progress to all parties involved.
  • Support the internal change control activities including preparation/documentation.
  • Implement mapping changes and vendor profile setups in collaboration with Business and EDI Service Provider
  • Develop EDI service performance metrics and report to management on periodic basis
  • Responsible for follow-up with partners once new solutions are moved to production to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop document standards to include specific mapping rules/logic
  • Provide support to internal business clients on data quality and integrity
  • Provide B2B solutions to support highly available, reliable, secure and well performing environments for EDI and Application Interface platforms.
  • Gather Application integration and EDI requirements in collaboration with functional IT teams
  • Develop functional, technical, test scenario documents in collaboration with functional IT teams
  • Single point of contact ownership between business, functional IT and B2B Service Provider
  • Communicate openly with management and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Develop and maintains operational procedures related to sound business practices.
  • Fully understand, support and comply with Information Technology policies, procedures and best practices.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business: IT, Supply Chain, Logistics, Management, Economics or related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of EDI experience in Supply Chain
  • Minimum 1 years working with SPS Commerce/IBM Sterling preferred or any EDI VAN providers
  • Knowledge of EDI retail and transportation transaction sets (846,850, 855, 810, 856, 860, 204, 214, 310, 315, 753, 754, 990 997, etc.) and trading partnerships (ANSI X12) is preferred
  • Proficient with SQL and Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel
  • Experience in business process related EDI documents related to Finance, Sales, Logistics and Operations
  • Exposure to business applications such as ERP, TMS, WMS, Sales and Financial applications
  • Experience in working with EDI Trading Partners and EDI lifecycle : Related to enablement of Vendors
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in resolving data integrity issues post go-live
  • Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • E-commerce background is a plus.
