Our Opportunity:
As a Senior Product Manager, Chewy Blogs in our Dania Beach, FL office, you will own Chewy’s PetMD and Pet Central blogs and the underlying systems that support them. Through our blogs we serve pet parents by creating and delivering content to them that’s relevant and engaging. Specifically PetMD is the #1 destination for pet health research online. You will engage with our users (both internal & external) to first define each of these roadmaps, prioritize initiatives and document requirements and then partner with our design, engineering and content teams to deliver. You will also maintain a feedback loop from users to iterate on the roadmaps as necessary. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, data-driven, self-starter/problem-solver with proven experience building scalable, customer-facing products.
What you'll do:
- Define and manage the roadmap for our blogs and underlying capabilities needed by our content team.
- Bring analytical rigor in establishing priorities & iterating on our roadmaps.
- Create business requirements that are clear, thorough and help deliver the needed capabilities/benefits to our users.
- Partner with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, marketing channel leads, designers, and analysts and play a key role in organizing and communicating their work across the organization.
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and superior communication skills; be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
- Work on some of the organization’s toughest strategic challenges and initiatives.
What you'll need:
- 7+ years experience in a content product management role.
- Experience working with and using Agile development methodologies.
- Technical mindset with tactical experience driving projects to completion.
- Demonstrated understanding of business strategy and metrics.
- Thorough understanding of modern product management and development practices.
- Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, people-oriented attitude.
- Experience working with content management systems.
- Bachelors degree required.
Bonus:
- Experience as a product manager of a blog.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Experience with SEO.
- Experience with WordPress & Drupal.
- Familiarity with front-end languages, including HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
