Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a ServiceNow QA Engineer to join our Internal Tools team based in Dania Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for quality assurance testing of internal and external tools and systems. This position will assist with improvements to the overall quality of developed product offerings. As our QA Engineer, you will ensure that quality standards are met and adhered to by using their knowledge of quality assurance methodology, tools and techniques. You will also resolve, document and report to management all identified quality problems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles
  • Create and execute test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications (test case design, creation and execution)
  • Contribute to planning and estimation activities, monitoring processes and reviewing QA deliverables and tasks
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and projects across the organization
  • Defect reporting and retesting, performing regression testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, API testing
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and corresponding documentation
  • Provide input into backlog grooming sessions
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers in assessing applications and/or systems
  • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
  • Communicate test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management
  • Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
  • Gather customer issues from the field and maintain Jira database
  • Detail oriented mindset
  • A strong desire to expand current skillset—learn new systems and tools

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance engineering
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology and how QA functions within it
  • Experience of working in Continuous Integration environment
  • Documenting risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies and proactively managing them
  • Experience with and understanding of various SDLC's, such as: Waterfall, Agile
  • Experience with project, development and test management tools – ServiceNow Automated Testing Framework (ATF’s)
  • Organizational skills
  • Identifying trends / Pattern Recognition skills
  • Accurately estimate timelines for test activities
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Position may require travel 

Bonus :

  • Experience with project, development and test management tools (i.e.: Atlassian Jira & Confluence)
