Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Sr Public Relations Manager- Internal Comms to create and execute a holistic internal/teammate communications strategy.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for building internal communications campaigns/plans that engage and inspire our Team Member base of over 17,000 employees.  Working closely with Corporate teams specifically HR’s senior leadership team, Marketing teams, Product and Innovation, IT, Supply Chain, IR, Fulfillment Center, and Customer Service. This position reports to Chewy’s VP of Communications and is based in either Dania Beach, FL or Boston, MA.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish and implement the communications strategy, “playbook,” and editorial calendar to ensure consistency and cohesive messages across the organization. Ensure key programs are successfully communicated to our Team Member base
  • Partner directly with key cross functional partners such as our Chief Human Resources Officer/HR team, Brand Marketing, L&D, and Team Member Experience group to craft inspiring, engaging, and effective messages reinforcing our operating principles at key touch points
  • Develop and implement internal comms playbook on best platforms for Team Member outreach (blogs, website, social media, etc.) to engage with highly compelling, large-scale communications campaigns
  • Working closely with HR, facilitate key internal events such as Town Hall for Team Members and leaders
  • Devise concrete ways to measure success of communications activity; report results
  • Drive exceptional internal/employee communications practices and overarching strategy

What You'll Need:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; concentration in communications, marketing, business, or related field of study preferred; master’s degree is a plus
    • Minimum 6-8 years experience; specific experience in internal/employee communications at corporate
    • Strong understanding of internal communications strategies; ability to think strategically and build implementation plans that have a measurable impact on the business
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with demonstrated abilities to communicate effectively (written and oral) with all types of employees, strong writing skills, from fulfillment center, customer service to corporate leadership
    • Solid organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and with little oversight
    • Notable attention to detail and accuracy; high level of commitment to exceptional work quality
    • Demonstrated capacity to be highly creative, analytical, and data-driven at same time
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, continuously changing, entrepreneurial environment
    • Deep knowledge of multiple types of communications mediums (website, videos, email, etc.)
    • Occasional travel to Chewy’s other offices and Fulfillment Centers as needed (5-10%)
