Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Studio Operations Manager to join our in-house creative team and work side-by-side with passionate pet lovers. The ideal candidate would oversee our photo/video production studios in Dania Beach, Florida and Dallas, Texas. This position will monitor all projects, operations and processes across the two studios and bring the information under one roof. You will be involved in improving process and pipelines, creating organization, and transforming teams into well-oiled machines.

 What You'll Do:

  • Provide and monitor studio and stage management for our Dania Beach and Dallas Studios
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and revise policies in line with company directives
  • Oversee the Studio Teams as they perform data tracking, asset management, daily production, and project schedules
  • Gather, analyze, and report on utilization data for efficiency & cost-benefit assessments across all verticals and formats
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to efficiently develop new content in the studios and maintain a high level of efficiency
  • Responsible for the development of more efficient systems, reducing internal costs and improving and implementing new programs
  • Assess cross-functional capability and availability to assign based on scope, talent and budget considerations
  • Review every project submitted to Studio
  • Define and streamline creative processes across studios (FLL, DFW)
  • Analyze how the work is executed and solve for efficient workflows by removing bottlenecks and gaps
  • Improve the turnaround time and quality of production
  • Manage the creative workflow by providing clear and concise direction to ensure the timely delivery
  • Analyze and manage shared resources, workspaces, project setup, and deliverable
  • Monitor and push for timely approval processes

 What you'll need:

  • Minimum 5+ years of video experience in a media environment. E-Commerce/Retail experience a plus
  • Must be process driven and able to pivot based on project requirements and changes in scope
  • An understanding of quality, a creative thinker who sees value in high level production and execution of projects
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of production from storytelling to lighting to editing
  • Ability to adhere to our Chewy style guide standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Has experience in managing creative and diverse photo/video studio teams
  • Must be a people leader, mentor, and be invested in the growth and development direct and dotted line reports
  • Position may require travel
