About the opportunity
The Finance Team is currently looking for an experienced, system-oriented, hands-on Accountant with good technical skills with a focus on but not limited to the accounting and administration of our US operations. What to expect?
- You will oversee all bookings in the general ledger, the accounts payable and all other subledgers with a focus on our US operations
- You are responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing of our US subsidiary and of our consolidated accounts according to US GAAP
- You will continuously look for ways to create scalable, automated processes, and improve our systems and tools
- You will consistently check and assess our obligations with regard to direct and indirect taxes
- You will work closely with our tax consultants and help them to prepare the Federal and State tax returns
- You will make sure that we meet all other American reporting deadlines and file the respective forms
What you need to be successful?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred but not required
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance
- Experience with accounting in international companies, preferably in a SaaS company or in the digital industry
- Excellent knowledge of US-GAAP and IFRS
- Experience with reporting requirements of public companies is a plus
- Very good knowledge of various US and Californian tax topics, payroll and benefits
- You don’t mind getting your hands dirty, cleaning things up, accounts and processes
- Preferably, you have experience with NetSuite, Zuora, Avalara, Zenefits and Rydoo (Ideally you can’t only operate them but feel comfortable to “look under the hood”)
