About the Opportunity

As our first Director of Workplace & Employee Experience, you’ll oversee managing our global workplace and employee experience teams across all of our locations. Using your prior workplace, facilities or operations experience, your mission will be to drive our workplace strategy and lead our team to deliver an exceptional employee experience. We are seeking  a true and seasoned workplaces leader who has what it takes to facilitate our hyper growth,  and help us achieve our mission in a customer centric way. 

What to expect

  • Blend your leadership and data analytics experience to lead a global team of eight Workplace professionals to conceptualize, create  and maintain inspiring workplaces and on-brand internal events.
  • Develop an innovative Workplace strategy that reflects our growing and evolving hybrid-workplace  and distributed employee footprint. 
  • Create a repeatable framework for workplace operations that ensures our workplaces will operate at the highest functionality possible.
  • Working closely with our Field Marketing, Sales Enablement and Talent Management teams, help set and lead event strategies, design, policies, standards, direction, training and goals. Ensure our event presence is on strategy and consistent.
  • Help manage from concept to execution, employee experience and celebration events.
  • Develop viable, detailed and comprehensive  budgets, and staffing plans for all locations and all internal events.
  • Maintain an up to date understanding of the compliance requirements associated with a distributed global workforce and ensure that our workplace strategy reflects this.
  • Model and influence inclusiveness and diversity in all that we do.
  • Periodic travel, approximately 4x/year, weekends occasionally.

What you need to be successful

  • Leadership experience in managing both a globally distributed team and a workplace portfolio including new site selection, budgeting, office operations, vendor management and health & safety compliance. 
  • Progressive experience supporting an internationally distributed workforce across large and small offices and remote locations
  • Proven history building and implementing a scalable system of standard operating procedures.
  • Strong cross functional collaborator and influencer; Ability to navigate complex issues while promoting solutions-oriented approaches and advocating change.
  • Ability to utilize metrics to communicate with teams and drive increased ROI
  • Prior leadership experience in incident management and emergency/crisis response efforts.
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000

[This position is eligible for equity awards, annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards in accordance with the terms of Contentful’s variable compensation plans.]
