About the opportunity:
Contentful has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Solution Engineer (f/m/d) to join our growing UK team. In this role you will partner with our sales team to drive key components of the sales process including technical discovery, product presentations, collaborative solution design and more.
This is a dynamic role that allows you to work with passionate team members, drive the direction of the Solution Engineering function and work with dynamic brands, prospects and partners from around the world.
What to expect?
- Work directly with our Account Executives to support sales opportunities in the UK and Ireland
- Illustrate to prospects how Contentful can drive business value for them through custom product demonstrations
- Understand prospects' project requirements, help prospects validate these requirements against our platform, identify and mitigate technical and business risks
- Create product demonstrations and assist with technical evaluations to demonstrate how our platform solves identified business problems and integrates into a prospect’s technology stack
- Communicate prospect and customer needs and product feedback to product management, marketing, and sales
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Customer Success Managers to ensure that newly-signed customers successfully implement and launch their projects with Contentful
- Work on exciting internal projects that impact how the Solution Engineering team works and grows
- Learn and grow your career with Contentful
What you need to be successful:
- 3-5 years experience in Solution Engineering or a similar position (e.g. Solution Architect)
- Familiarity with web technologies (Javascript frameworks, static site generators, REST APIs, CDNs, CI/CD, etc), cloud technology, performance metrics and security
- Experience responding to RFIs, RFPs and Infosec Questionnaires
- Demonstrable experience conveying technical and business knowledge to a mixed audience of experienced business and technical stakeholders
- Experience shaping the practice of Solution Engineering at a previous company
Additionally, the following are desirable but not essential:
- Experience with omnichannel digital delivery concepts (iOS, Android, AR/VR, smartwatches, digital kiosks, etc.)
- Relevant experience in or with other CMS technologies
- Development experience (e.g. web development)
- Hands-on experience deploying cloud solutions
- Familiarity with the Great Demo framework
