We empower our consultants to utilise all of their technical ability on engagements, be creative and really get in to the mind-set of an attacker in order to find vulnerabilities that others simply can't. Our Junior Consultants are provided with a full training programme in hands-on penetration testing and challenged to develop and use their skills in order to help assess the security of real customer systems, finding exploitable weaknesses before the attackers do.

Interview Process
There will be an initial 30-minute screening call, followed by a technical assessment which will consist of a 60-minute practical test, followed by a 30-minute written assessment.
The second stage will be a competency-based interview, giving us a chance to get to know you and for you to learn more about Context. 
 
The Training Programme
As a Junior Consultant, you will be given training and mentoring to learn new skills in the first few weeks after which you will be given the opportunity to start working on live project under the supervision of our more experienced consultants. The training program structure is detailed below:
 
Week 1 - Induction and Consultancy Skills
Week 2 - Web Application Training
Week 3 - Scripting and Windows Security
Week 4 - Infrastructure Training
Week 5 - Infrastructure Training and Build Reviews
Week 6 - Recap of the Course and Examination

Person Specification

  • Able to quickly learn the technical skills of penetration testing
  • Translate the technical findings from an assessment into relevant, actionable information for customers
  • Work with the rest of the technical team, learning from experienced security experts and contributing your own knowledge
  • Help improve the tools, techniques and processes used by Context Consultants every day
  • Deliver technical and complex assignments to realistic, but challenging deadlines
  • Location and Travel
    The roles are based at our Edinburgh and Cheltenham offices.
    Flexibility and mobility are required to deliver the role as there will be requirements to spend time onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery of the first-class services we are known for.
