Context is an independently operated cyber security consultancy, founded in 1998 and focusing on providing highly skilled consultants to help organisations with their information security challenges. We work with some of the world’s most high profile blue chip companies and government organisations.
 
We are growing rapidly and are expanding our team and our services. We have offices in Australia, UK and Germany and are recruiting in order to support an expanding business.
 
A Senior Consultant is a technical leadership level role within Context. The candidate will have suitably extensive prior security consultancy experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in one or more technology areas.
 
The successful incumbent should expect to be in contact with clients; answering their questions, educating them, updating them on progress of work as well as advising them as to priorities and actions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of, research and develop one or more specialist disciplines, subject matter areas or services;
  • Support team technical development (e.g. through service development or research) and contribute to company technical processes overall;
  • Provide training and mentoring to other consultants on projects and via internal training activities, as well as suggesting other training requirements for individuals;
  • Line manage a small team of consultants, working with them where possible and providing leadership and mentoring for them;
  • Design and scope complex and bespoke engagements;
  • Maintain CREST certification and contribute to industry bodies (as appropriate);
  • Proficiency in writing technical documentation, helping to set company standards for reporting, project, and technical QA;
  • Articulately represent Context in technical client discussions as well as open and closed industry events;
  • Flexible, self-motivated, client focused and will have a ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Penetration testing
  • Vulnerability research
  • Delivering security training
  • Performing other security assurance services e.g. code review
  • Providing expertise to projects as a subject matter expert in one or more areas
  • Personal research to continue to advance core knowledge areas and develop niche interests (specialisms)
  • Management tasks
  • Other bespoke security services and consultancy

    Location and Travel

    The role is based in Sydney, but will require travel to client sites when needed.

    Salary and package

    The role benefits from a competitive salary and package aligned to market rates (between 130,000 - 150,000 AUD) and will be reviewed annually.
