Responsibilities:

  • Understand and tell the story of Coupa and Business Spend Management at various levels, from the bird’s eye view / elevator pitch to the details that make our products innovative and unique.
  • Use SEO strategy and a variety of content formats to accomplish high quality storytelling and thought leadership.
  • Understand our audience: the key personas we want to help, what they care about, and how we can help them.
  • Operate as an embedded journalist, learning about our core business areas and identifying the most interesting and compelling elements for stories and content assets such as blog posts, videos, infographics, etc.
  • Write for the web — think strategically about the user experience of content and the audience’s digital journey across all channels, including web, ads, and social media.
  • Be an editorial reviewer of blog posts, eBooks, and other forms of content to enhance storytelling and make sure content follows style guidelines
  • Work with the content creation team, digital marketing, product marketing, marketing ops, and demand generation to organize content operations to create smooth production workflows and mechanisms to attain feedback on content 
  • Suggest and implement improvements in content operations and content management, across the team, so that we can scale and deliver better stories more efficiently
  • Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience showing proven success in storytelling, interviewing, and driving a project to completion
  • Must have a strong vision on what makes for compelling stories, while also being receptive to feedback and curious to research and understand the audience
  • Must be able to switch regularly and rapidly between editorial strategy and execution
  • Highly organized and skilled with developing processes and implementing them
  • Ability to execute independently on initiatives
  • Ability to work across organizational lines, command respect, and influence without authority
  • Ability to think in terms of efficient processes and suggest how content marketing can operate more efficiently while scaling
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Preferred:

  • Experience with managing and collaborating with contract writers
  • Experience with B2B companies
