About The Team

About The Role

We are looking for a compensation expert to join our HR team and be responsible for analyzing, recommending, planning, implementing and administering Crunchyroll’s compensation programs, policies and procedures utilizing market data. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our compensation strategy supporting global base pay structures, job leveling, incentive plans, and assurance of competitive market pricing. You will partner with HRBPs and business leaders to understand the changing needs of the organization to identify data that can help them in making better business decisions.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP, People & Capabilities.

About You

  • 6+ years of experience acting as compensation partner and/or compensation program management experience.
  • Built trusted relationships with people at all levels, across multiple functions and in all geographies.
  • Highly proficient in Excel; familiar with Workday and Radford
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for planning, implementing and auditing data and compensation tasks accurately, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture.
  • Understand the complexities and nuances with reporting on different organizational hierarchies.
  • Solid experience in compensation or consulting with an in-depth knowledge of core compensation terminology and best practices.
  • Experience enhancing and/or implementing compensation systems and reporting tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with partners and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables.
  • Problem solving, communication, and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player
  • The ability to work independently, tackle responsibility, and be forward-thinking in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Proven track record to perform with a high degree of accuracy and maintain strict confidentiality and discretion with critical information.

A Day In The Life Of Our Compensation Manager

  • Perform deep analysis on existing job levels and compensation ranges and model potential impact of alternatives and future compensation programs.
  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders on compensation issues, and work on a variety of special, on-off compensation projects as needed.
  • Provide guidance and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, annual incentive pay and LTI compensation.
  • Collaborate with the business on job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation
  • Align our compensation program strategy with our philosophies, building guidelines and providing education to teams as needed.
  • Craft and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to advise decisions and forecast, report, and/or analyze compensation outcomes.
  • Lead and partner with HRBPs on compensation planning cycles inclusive of communication, modeling, analysis and administration.
  • Partner with HRBPs and leaders to implement compensation programs
  • Provide consultation to HRBPs and recruiting partners on compensation requests
  • Provide leadership of recommended variable pay and equity programs for specific programs and projects
  • Act as a resource for compensation work streams and/or programs and requests
