Location: Dallas

We are seeking a dynamic Health and Safety Manager with an ownership spirit to develop, implement, lead, and maintain health and safety programs across the Global organization. This position will drive and lead continuous improvement and sustainability for health and safety for our employees and other stakeholders globally.  This role will report to our VP, Global Workplace Experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support the effective implementation of global Health and Safety strategy
• Provide leadership, strategy, and initiatives necessary to appropriately manage health and safety risk
• Work in conjunction with SPE Security, Safety, and Sustainability to ensure the appropriate programs are in place
• Provide H&S service, solutions, programs, best practices and technical guidance to business management and support functions to manage compliance assurance effectively and efficiently and H&S risk mitigation
• Provides advice to Senior leadership management regarding H&S issues
• Implement and facilitate appropriate health and safety education and training across the organization
• Work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to build operational standards in line with safety and regulatory best practices.
• Develops project safety plans and specifications
• Analyze audit findings to achieve and maintain safe work practices
• Monitor, interpret, and assess existing or emerging Health and Safety laws, regulations, regulatory policy, and industry practices to determine operational and business impacts
• Work cross-functionally with security, workplace, stakeholders, and peers to identify program improvements and provide solutions to improve the safety program
• Develop and maintain Health and Safety reporting system
• Manage enterprise-wide impact of Health and Safety incident investigations to determine and implement root cause corrective actions. Leverage lessons learned and develop continuous improvement of Health and Safety programs
• Partner and collaborate with the business and support functions, to influence and manage H&S resources and projects and business decisions

Requirements

• 8+ years EHS experience with increasing scope, responsibility, and complexity, preferably at a multinational company
• Experience collaborating with a diverse cross-functional team, including senior internal partners, project managers, legal, labor, human resources, risk management and workplace managers
• Working knowledge of industry best practices and H&S management systems.
• Experience prioritizing and managing multiple & technical assignments concurrently
• Strong project management skills, with proven experience implementing learning platforms
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with superior presentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic team, whose primary aim is to freely share knowledge, while expanding a vibrant global safety culture 
• BS or MS in environmental, health, safety or relevant scientific or engineering field
