About The Team

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented technical leader to join our IT team. The Information Technology team supports IT services for the employee base. As an IT Engineer, you’re responsible for maintaining IT Service availability as well as project work to improve IT Services.

Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for our passionate communities.

About You:

Technology

  • Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, related technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of Information Technology experience
  • Significant experience in heterogeneous network environments including macOS, 'nix and Windows
  • Experience with installing, configuring and troubleshooting Apple and Windows computers
  • Experience with a hosted or SaaS infrastructure and its configuration and maintenance
  • Admin experience in the following services: Okta, JAMF, InTune, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Slack, SnipeIT, or Zoom
  • Good understanding of network management and troubleshooting
  • Solid understanding of VoIP telephony solutions
  • Previous experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM)
  • Experience with issue tracking software
  • Experience with scripting languages such as GAM, Python, BASH, PowerShell, etc.

People

  • Able to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Embody exceptional customer service including patience, and communicating effectively with non-technical and technical users.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to support and enable users in a creative office environment.

Process

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum
  • Independent problem solver, ability to analyze complex processes and develop technical solutions that deliver business value
  • Good understanding of Information Security
  • Sensitivity toward handling and exposure of personal data and intellectual property
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience including representing Tier 2 support.
  • Experience with problem management including trend analysis and root cause analysis
  • Able to evaluate, compare and contrast vendor services
  • Experience with Incident Management processes including triaging, prioritizing, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner

The ideal candidate has two of the below, in addition to the above:

  • Experiencing handling IT Services that support a media/entertainment business
  • Experience with Continuous Development
  • Experience working with PCI-compliant systems

A day in the life of our IT Engineer:

  • Improve the business value of technology services via agile sprints and operational processes

Technology

  • Innovate and improve technology in alignment with business needs
  • Ensure proper functioning of IT systems, including telecommunications, networking, voice/video conference system, security, finance, and productivity suite
  • Maintain daily IT operations and provides IT support across office locations to employees and contractors

People

  • Lead by example through demonstrated technical skills as well as good interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Build trust with counterparts on other teams
  • Ensure transparency to business users
  • Collaborate across an agile team of IT professionals to deliver technical improvements and integrations
  • Interact with users across multiple time zones including: Japan, USA, Latin America, France, Germany, and Moldova

Process

  • Configure and fine-tuning IT Services
  • Document processes and configurations
  • Perform IT audits, reviews, and updates of systems
  • Own several core IT processes on a quarterly basis
  • Maintain secure permissions across all IT Services
  • Define and enforce technology/security policies
