Location: Los Angeles

This office houses many of our corporate functions and cross-functional teams tasked with creating exceptional experiences for our passionate communities.

This role will be responsible for leading large-scale theatrical release projects and finding paths forward that enable teams to build phenomenal experiences. You know and apply standard methodologies in producing, yet you don’t follow a formula or merely implement. You’re able to drive every phase of the project lifecycle, partnering with distribution, marketing, production, operations and vendors —embracing and supporting all individuals. The Producer, Theatrical Distribution reports to the Sr. Director, Global Theatrical Business Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and actively lead all aspects of a theatrical release project plan to ensure the work is completed to meet goals and expectations
  • Collaborate closely with Distribution, Marketing, Production and Operations to optimize workflows and results, consistently providing high-quality daily support and updates as the point of contact for key Crunchyroll Films global theatrical release projects.
  • As point of contact for team communication, establish clear communication channels and processes across cross-functional teams, including Theatrical Distribution, Marketing, Operations, Production, and Acquisitions.
  • Provide value and support throughout the entire project cycle by influencing the work, stakeholders, and the team with specific and impactful production tactics
  • Predict and identify roadblocks, proactively establishing meetings or integration points between teams to address and resolve them.
  • Coordinate with key collaborators to align on key deliverables by territory, including subtitled and dubbed languages, release dates and corresponding material due dates, and delivery of final materials.
  • Establish processes to track master release timelines, materials delivery, and approvals dates across multiple territories.
  • Collaborate closely with Japan based approvals team to facilitate timely delivery of approvals requests and ensure clear communication between the approvals team and key internal partners.
  • Identify project timelines, milestones, and owners - leading execution against key objectives.

Key Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience as an interactive producer or digital project management experience
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary creative and technical team
  • Experience confidently facilitating and actively engaging with digital project management processes, approaches, and tactics
  • Strong attention to detail in an environment that requires extensive multi-tasking and multiple work flows
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Knowledge of and a passion for entertainment, anime, and pop culture is a plus
