Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

About The Team

The dubbing operations team handles audio localization for a large volume of content each year. We work with an extensive network of localization studios globally to bring Anime to millions of fans worldwide.

About You

  • 4+ years of localization experience is required; coordinating localization projects in the equivalent of media production, post production, digital media, or advertising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Brazilian Portuguese or Latin American Spanish fluency is highly preferred.
  • Professional and colloquial Japanese proficiency is a strong plus.
  • Thorough, self-motivated, possess a high level of organization.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced dynamic environment with changing deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and excellent project management skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours; including occasional nights and/or weekends.
  • Smartsheet proficiency is preferred.

A Day In The Life of Our Project Lead, Localization Role

  • Lead dubbing projects for Crunchyroll titles worldwide in all languages, including English in the US, as assigned by Senior Project Manager.
  • Build and drive schedules that conform to the specific requirements of each project’s rollout plan.
  • Drive third party production vendors to meet all delivery dates and production quality expectations.
  • Own all quality control throughout the production process of localizing Japanese Anime into North American and international products.
    • Reviews may include casting, adapted voiceover script editing and audio mixes.
  • Communicate with internal partners and interdepartmental collaborators to ensure materials are delivered on time with high quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain tracking systems and archives of all media assets associated with each project including incoming and outgoing assets.
  • Ensure that all materials produced adhere to internal, distribution partner and broadcast partner specs.
