About The Team
Crunchyroll is looking for inquisitive, highly motivated people for our Cyber Risk Management program to help increase the security posture across Crunchyroll. You will wear many hats as you jump in a fast-paced environment and produce results as an analyst and technology partner. The Posture Management team is a force multiplier for the Information Security Organization; we partner closely with all teams across Crunchyroll to deliver impactful and scalable initiatives, securely. The team is the cornerstone for the success of Crunchyroll’s Risk Management program. We enable our customers and stakeholders to realize their plans in a secure fashion. We collaborate with virtually all business leaders within the enterprise to align strategic goals and visions to further the security roadmap in a business driven way.
Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status
Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for our passionate communities.
About You:
- You are a pragmatic security person who believes in risk focused, scalable security approaches with a technical background in developing secure services.
- Experience in a modern programing language such as Python or GoLang
- Experience working in cloud services and distributed systems (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.)
- You prefer collaboration and problem solving over process and mandates and are also comfortable dealing with ambiguity and independent decision making.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a product focused mindset to build the right solutions for your stakeholders and customers.
A day in the life of our Risk Analysts:
- Supports services to continue the mission to protect Crunchyroll
- Assess adequacy of security and business continuity/disaster recovery controls
- Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities and calculate the level of current and residual risk and communicate these risks to business units and management
- Partner alongside team members to draft InfoSec policies and build accompanying roll-out plans for technical implementation
- Document and formalize processes into authoritative documentation that can be applied globally through our Information Security Standardization process
- Build and structure internal communication sites to better educate our partners across Crunchyroll of who we are and what we do
- Identify additional areas of opportunity and means for knowledge sharing practices across teams
