About the Role

This individual will develop and lead the Theatrical Distribution team, strategy, and budgets for Crunchyroll. They will lead Crunchyroll theatrical distribution both directly and with third parties, to maximize the strategic value of the overall theatrical slate. The role will also be responsible for managing relationships with key theatrical Exhibitors and Partners. They will work with the finance, marketing, and acquisitions organizations in support of theatrical distribution objectives as well as the corporate objectives across all divisions. The VP of Global Theatrical Distribution reports to the SVP of Global Commerce.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree +15 yrs. of directly related experience.
  • Strong understanding of Theatrical distribution and exhibition
  • Proven experience in conceptualizing, structuring, and/or building distribution partnerships on theatrical releases.
  • Experience leading and influencing in large, sophisticated organizations
  • Ability to deliver solutions in a highly time-sensitive environment
  • Willingness to travel, including Internationally.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of and a passion for entertainment, anime, and pop culture is a plus.

A day in the life of the Vice President, Global Theatrical Distribution:

  • Develop Global Theatrical Distribution strategies and territory priorities that drive strategic value and deliver goals of the company.
  • Work closely with the Content Acquisitions team and Marketing, to provide input and insight on potential theatrical releases; including revenue targets, distribution plans, and release timing.
  • Lead all aspects of the commercial relationship with exhibition and distribution partners by leading a distributed team of theatrical distribution specialists to improve the placement and value of our films.
  • Partner with the Marketing Team to develop P&A budgets and marketing approaches across all releases.
  • Provide performance reporting on all releases, including key metrics and insights, to internal partners and upstream rights holders.
  • Establish and manage relationships with key global industry partners.
  • Analyze customer-specific metrics and market trends to accurately forecast title performance.
  • Provide guidance to BI and Finance for building Theatrical Distribution budgets and forecasts for annual planning.
  • Serve as a key member of the Global Commerce Leadership Team and Extended Leadership, providing input and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth and contributing to the broader company vision, culture, and mission.
  • Use data and metrics to measure success; continually refine approach based on findings and industry trends.
  • Communicate priorities, results, and deliverables with internal partners - Marketing, Operations, Finance, Acquisitions, and Senior Management.
