Position Summary:  The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for building and managing a team of real estate professionals who will be responsible for carrying out various construction based projects and initiatives through to a successful completion. 

They will be responsible for leading project meetings, tracking, reporting, and forecasting project budgets and schedules related to ongoing and future construction based projects and associated deliverables, will serve as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders as well as 3rd party resources assisting on various construction related projects, and will assure that the real estate and construction group meet all scheduled performance goals set in place by executive leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and manage a team of professionals for successful project execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with all representatives.
  • Lead construction meetings on all projects. Serve as liaison between the organization and others.
  • Accurately track, report and forecast project budgets and schedules.
  • Proactively identify, report, and mitigate all project risks.
  • Adhere to all project management processes that are applicable for each project.
  • Accurate forecasting and development of the capital plan.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs and procedures.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building, safety codes and other regulations.
  • Responsible for timely processing of all invoices.
  • Consistently meets budget and schedule performance goals.
  • Competitively bid all vendor services for each project as required or necessary.
  • Excel in all phases of Corporate Real Estate Project Management activities; end-to-end.
  • Meet with leadership prior to each project to define project requirements, identify success factors, develop measurement tools, and communicate measurable added value.
  • Ensure contracting process is followed and are met in compliance with agreements.
  • Manage project finances for respective capital projects.
  • Perform construction administration.
  • Coordinate FF&E procurement and installation.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated and eager to learn
  • Thorough understanding of the project management process, including the ability to manage and evaluate consultants, project submittals, budgets and multiple schedules
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications (including MS Project) as well as Adobe, Smartsheets and Procore and other project management platforms
  • Strong design skills with the ability to read/interpret plans and building codes
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
  • Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information
  • Stress & time management skills
  • Experience managing medical practice facility projects a plus
  • Knowledge of REVIT and CAD a plus
