Provide HR strategy and execution support to the senior leaders of the corporate functions of Eye Care Partners, LLC. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role will partner with senior executives in all areas related to HR strategy, talent management, and overall workforce effectiveness of those functions, while also having a voice in the overall HR Talent Agenda for the broader organization. Specific areas of focus include translating business strategies into a people strategy specific to each function. You will lead efforts around organization design, talent planning & talent development, performance Management, and the acquisition and retention of talent. You will serve as a management consultant to leaders on human resource-related issues, assess and anticipate HR-related needs, and execute on same. This is both a strategic as well as hands-on role for approximately 400 corporate employees and growing. EyeCare Partners is growing rapidly both organically and through acquisition and is very fast-paced. In addition to providing HR leadership to the corporate functions, you will be asked to lead and participate on multiple cross-functional initiatives to support our continual improvement and growth efforts. Strong project management and execution skills are required. You will be called on to lead through change and ambiguity in a growing and fast-paced environment, and you will manage multiple projects and priorities, while providing HR leadership in people strategies through multiple acquisitions and integrations. This must all be done in a highly collaborative manner as you help us maintain a positive, support-oriented culture.       

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guides, counsels, supports, and challenges senior leadership teams of all corporate functions.
  • Provides proactive consultation and input to executives, managers and employees on issues where HR expertise can be utilized to improve business results.
  • Develop and manage the roll-out of various HR projects and key initiatives.
  • Effectively define problems, establish alternatives, and determine the optimal course of action in the context of broader business strategies and objectives.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Work under pressure, prioritize, meet deadlines, drive projects to completion, and manage the results.
  • Develop effective working relationships with business leader partners by demonstrating a solid understanding of the drivers of the business and aligning the talent strategy to the strategy
  • Works closely with leadership to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Contributes to the design of the organization to suit business challenges and HR strategy.
  • Assesses organizational and employee needs and works with managers on performance management as well as succession planning.
  • Partners with managers to foster employee morale and engagement.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance related to HR records and practices.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders regarding people-related issues
  • Collaborate with the broader HR team in the development, implementation and oversight of our and talent strategies.
  • Provide oversight and support for escalated employee relations issues and investigations; conduct and manage investigation of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications; assess the severity of such issues
  • Lead integration activities for corporate functions as new practices are acquired
  • Complete research and other diligence for acquisitions
  • Coordinate with external partners, internal partners and seller during acquisition close and onboarding
  • Participates on special projects, seeks additional responsibilities, and other duties as assigned

  • Healthcare experience not required, but preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of employment laws.

Minimum Education and Background Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years relevant experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist, including a minimum of 2 years directly supporting corporate functions
  • Demonstrated experience working and partnering effectively with senior level management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing large-scale HR initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering business requirements and creating scope documents, process flows, project plans and other related project documentation.

Travel

Minimal travel required, but must be flexible to travel occasionally as needed.
