Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

EyeCare Partners is currently seeking an Director, Financial Planning & Analysis focusing on corporate support services budget planning, actual to forecasted results analysis and performance optimization.  This individual will utilize their finance skillset and develop their ability to dig deep and summarize key points and results.  This role requires significant interaction with key leadership and support services leaders on a monthly basis and requires strong communication and presentation skills.

Position Summary:  Lead financial analysis and budgeting of corporate support services segment and present results to leadership monthly

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with departmental leaders over HR, Technology, Finance, Legal to build annual budget and 3 year projected costs associated with these support services
  • Update assumptions monthly for trailing twelve month projections for support services
  • Review monthly actual results to forecast in detail and discuss any significant or unusual variances with departmental leaders for explanation
  • Provide results presentation monthly to Senior Director FP&A for consolidation into the monthly earnings package
  • Assist with long term planning for both organic and inorganic growth
  • Build financial models for strategic initiatives across the support services involving IT transformation, Labor Initiatives, and Cost Synergy initiatives
  • Attend senior leadership and board results presentations to present results over Corporate support services
  • Support requests for ad-hoc financial analysis within support services
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Analysts in developing dashboard visualization of KPIs for support services
  • Direct a Senior Financial Analyst reporting into this position

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • 4-6+ years’ experience in a financial analyst role, management experience a plus
  • Highly skilled in use of Excel
  • Moderate to highly skilled in SQL, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI or Tableau, SAP
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with C-suite level leadership
  • Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to complete a task or project, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, and ability to execute despite ambiguity 

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Must be able to sit for an extended period of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The job operates in a professional office environment.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Must work 40 hours each week to maintain full time status.
